My team wanted to come up of a way to have lossless limitless storage of files in the cloud for free. We discovered Flickr's API as a way to store lossless images. We hypothesized that any file could be bitmapped to a PNG, which could then be stored on Flickr. Flickr provides each user with 1 terabyte of free cloud storage for images. The best part of our application is that users sign up with their own API key and secret from flickr; from there, they can attach arbitrarily many accounts to their API key. Our application then unifies all the managed accounts under one account. Files are encoded into PNGs and sent to Flickr from the browser.
